Lead Generation

Types of Forms

Request More Information

This form allows Aptar to capture marketing leads on product pages. The data flows into the Aptar Database API, which is fully managed and controlled by Aptar IS. In case the Aptar Database API fails, Edelman temporarily stores data submitted by the form for 10 days before it is automatically deleted.

Any changes to the form must be coordinated through Edelman and Aptar to ensure that the fields in the form are properly configured with the API elements. Failure to do this will result in the form not working, and the data from the user not being captured.

Upon submission of the form, an email is sent to the email address submitted by the user thanking them for their submission and informing them that an Aptar representative will be in contact as soon as possible. The email is delivered through SendGrid.

Edelman is notified of any issues with form submissions to the Aptar Database API. In the event that there is an issue, Edelman reaches out to Aptar IS to resolve the issue.

Gated Content

This form is setup similarly to the “Request More Information” form. All data captured flows through to the Aptar Database API. Due to this connection, any changes to the form must be coordinated with Edelman and Aptar to ensure that everything is configured properly.

To gain access to the gated content, the user submits the form. An email is then generated and sent to the user through SendGrid that contains a unique link back to Aptar.com. This link does not expire, and when the user clicks on it, it grants the user access to the requested content.

The user must submit the form for each piece of gated content that they want to access. To learn how to set up gated content, please reference the CMS Tips & Guidelines page.

Contact Us

This form is setup and functions in the same manner as the “Request More Information” form. The only difference is with for the form fields and the data that it captures from the user. All information flows into the Aptar Database API, and an email is sent to the user thanking them for their submission.

Any changes to the form must be coordinated through Edelman and Aptar.

Newsroom Email Signup

This form allows individuals to signup to receive notifications of new content when it is added to the Newsroom. Data submitted in the form automatically flows into MailChimp, Aptar’s email management system, via the MailChimp API.

In case of an error with the MailChimp API, all submissions are temporarily stored on the server for 10 days before they are automatically deleted.

Upon submission of the form, the user is sent an email thanking them for signing up and requiring that they click on a link to confirm their subscription. The user will not receive any emails from MailChimp until that step is taken.

Changes to this form must be coordinated with Edelman to ensure that the MailChimp API is properly configured to receive the form data.

Custom Embedded Forms

The content management system (CMS) allows for Aptar’s segments to embed their own third-party forms onto the site (see the Embed Form page). Testing of the form and confirming that it is working as expected is the responsibility of the segment.

Edelman and Aptar must be notified before any forms are embedded on Aptar.com. There are cookie compliance considerations and security settings (Content Security Policy or CSP) that explicitly prohibit unapproved third-party scripts from running on Aptar.com. The security settings will block your form for functioning properly until the URL is whitelisted in the CSP. You can learn more about CSP in the Security section.

Tracking Pixels

Adding custom tracking pixels to specific areas of the website are another way to track campaigns and leads. To add a custom tracking pixel to a page, the requesting party needs to share details about the pixel with Edelman. Be sure to specify if you want the pixel to be implemented only on content pages or forms specific to a division (Beauty & Home, Pharma, Food & Beverage, and Corporate) or across all of Aptar.com. Note that adding the pixel to content specific to a division may result in data that is incomplete. For instance, if a user first arrives on Aptar.com by way of a page for a different division, the tracking pixel will not contain data for those previous interactions.

Additionally, please indicate for how long the tracking pixel needs to be active. While minimal, tracking pixels impact the load time of a page and need to be removed when they are no longer needed to avoid unnecessary performance bloat.

Once Edelman receives details on the pixel, it will implement in in Aptar’s Google Tag Manager account and notify the requesting party once the pixel is live. It is the responsibility of the requesting party to validate that the pixel is performing as requested.
